Takosaurus (Client Work)
In a not so distant future of Portland Oregon, where food has become meaningless and corporate money decides who's sadly seasoned chicken is considered "hot", one chef is going rogue. Using an animated orange octopus as a mask, this chefalopod is taking on corporate and government alike to bring back flavor and spice. So buckle in and bring your appetite, because this is Chef Tako, and tonight, he will be cooking your dinner.
I was contracted by 8Legged Entertainment to design the Takosaurus Truck for a future extension of their IP, Tako the Octopus. The Takosaurus logo, Gulp Logo, and Tako the Octopus were created by Rob Deborde.
Initially we werent sure how "Wonky" the truck should be, so initial sketches had more character variation whole refined sketches were more about "impossible construction"
After refining a sketch. we decided to re-add some of the wonkiness we took out
Colors were everything from a traditional Winnibago all the way to 90s arcade carpet.
We decided to ditch the corn and find something that looked better.
